How it works
- 9:00 PM ET, the night before. A teaser: a silhouette and a one-line riddle.
- 12:00 PM ET, the drop. One absurd, made-to-order object goes live with its story, a starting bid and a reserve indicator (we only ever say "met" or "not met").
- 24 hours of bidding. Bidding is free. Bids are public and shown by handle. You can set a private max and we will bid for you up to it.
- Soft close at 12:00 PM ET the next day. Any bid in the last 2 minutes adds 2 minutes to the clock, so sniping turns into a bidding war.
- Hammer. If the reserve is met, the highest bidder wins. Only the winner pays. Nobody else is ever charged.
- One of one. The maker builds it, we ship it in the window stated on the lot, and nobody gets another.
